How to disconnect a ZaK channel: suspend and remove

Pausing a channel

If you want to interrupt a channel's connection only for a certain period, you can put it IN PAUSE by clicking on the "Suspend" button in the box of each active channel in the OnLine > Channels > Channels section.

    ↳ Link: ZaK > Sales > Channels > Channels

Once paused, the channel will have a "Pause" icon in orange and the "Unsuspend" button:

When you put a channel on pause, all service invoicing, price updates, restrictions, and room availability will be interrupted. Reservations received from the portal during the channel Pause will be collected by ZaK in the OnLine > Channels > Ghosts section but will not appear in the reservation list and will not occupy the related room availability.

    ↳ Link: ZaK > Sales > Channels > Ghosts

WARNING!

Pausing a channel does not technically interrupt the "active" status of the portal-side connection.

This can have consequences because some portals, like Booking.com, prevent you from acting manually on their extranet (to change prices, restrictions, and availability) when a channel manager is connected. If you want your sale to remain closed on the portal as long as the channel is paused, remember to close it through the channel manager before pausing the channel!

Please note:  If you want to continue managing the channel manually by accessing your OTA account, you need to disconnect the channel manager from the portal extranet directly!

Removing a channel

To permanently remove a channel, you can click on the "remove" button that you find in the box of each active channel in the section Sales > Channels > Channels

↳ Link: ZaK > Sales > Channels > Channels

A window will open to ask you to confirm the operation: if you confirm, you will receive an email with a link to click for further confirmation: We want to be sure that you do not make this operation by mistake and that you are aware of it!

WARNING!

For portals like Booking.com, which prevent you from manually acting on their extranet (to change prices, restrictions, and availability) when a channel manager is connected, you need to disconnect the channel manager directly from the portal extranet!
