Pending Reservations

A reservation may involve one or more stays in different rooms. You can decide not to immediately assign a physical room to a reservation, and leave only the room category indicated. Shortly before the guests' arrival you can assign them a physical room.

A reservation is called pending when it has not yet been assigned to a physical room.


 

If you assigned a physical room to a reservation, you will find the physical room code indicated next to the room type. On pending reservations you can display only the type of room.

Reservations which have not been associated with any physical room, are however visible in the Planner and take up the room type availability. Pending reservations are shown on one of the free rooms of the category, even if they are not really assigned to that room. The pending reservation will appear transparent in the planner.

Online Reservations


Bookings entered from the online reception WuBook or from an OTA booking portal and downloaded with the channel manager, can be downloaded on ZaK. The status of these bookings is "pending", as the sale on the internet is generally by room category and not by physical room.

If you want, in the connection setup with WuBook you can enable an algorithm that automatically assigns the physical room to the incoming reservation.

Assign a physical room to a reservation


Assigning a physical room to a pending reservation is very simple. From the reservation detail, you can click on the reservation and select the "Attach Room" function.

Also through the Zak planner you can assign a physical room to a reservation by clicking on it and then selecting "Attach Room" from the function menu. Click again on "Yes, attach it! and then confirm the action.
