ZaK - Scontrini Elettronici

Italian law requires the issue of commercial documents and the electronic transmission of daily receipts since 1 July 2019 for entities with an exceeding turnover of €400,000, and since 1 January 2020 for all others.

Zak provides its customers a plugin allowing them to connect with their printers. Below we show you how to add it.

Before using one of supported printers, you have to install the proper browser extension for your model. With this extension you can use your local printers with Zak Cloud service. Our extension is compatible with the following browsers:

  • Chrome
  • Firefox

Once done, click on the button for your printer on the right-hand side. To date, fiscal printers supported by Zak in cloud are 2 of most popular models on the market:



In order to connect your printer to ZaK, you need to enter the IP address and click on CONNECT. Once the connection has been made, you can move on to printer settings and configure them according to your needs as shown by the image below:

! WARNING: Only one cash register can be connected each property! Even if you have created several fiscal positions, only one recorder can be connected to ZaK.

I cannot connect the cash register

When you click on the CONNECT button, if you see an error saying "Impossible to contact or program the cash register":

you can perform all the following actions and then try again:

  • switch the register off and on again   
  • perform a cash-out from the register  
  • remove your printer from ZaK by clicking on the bin icon on top left corner, then add it again. You will be asked to enter the printer IP address   
  • make sure the browser extension was downloaded
  • make sure with the register technician that the IP address you are entering is correct

Alternatively, if you still cannot connect your printer in this way, you will need to enter a link like this in your Browser:

Numbers should obviously be replaced with your IP address, this is just an example!

Then contact our support by sending us a picture of what you see when you typed the link. If you logged in correctly, you should see a page like this:
