WooDoo - ItalCamel channel

    In this article, we will illustrate the four fundamental steps for activating and managing the Italcamel channel through WooDoo, specifically with the SINGLE AVAILABILITY model.

    1. Credentials

    This section establishes the initial connection between WooDoo and Italcamel.


    You must enter the Username and Password provided directly by your Italcamel account manager.

    This data is essential to allow the Channel Manager to authenticate and communicate with the sales platform.


    A critical step is the selection of the Availability Type field (e.g., Single). This value must correspond exactly to the availability model configured on your Italcamel account.

    Please note

    Selecting an incorrect availability value will result in a significant misalignment between prices and availability, dramatically increasing the risk of overbooking and pricing alignment issues. We recommend contacting your Italcamel account manager to confirm the correct model before proceeding.


    2. Availability Mapping

    This step is crucial for aligning the Channel Manager's room inventory with Italcamel's.


    Once each room on Italcamel has been paired with the corresponding room type defined in WuBook, you can be sure that the availability sent by WooDoo is correctly allocated to the rooms that you sell on Italcamel.




    3. Prices and Restrictions

    This section defines how the Channel Manager's rates and restrictions are applied to the Italcamel channel.



    3.1. Prices and Restrictions mapping (on the left)

    Room mapping allows you to associate specific restriction and price profiles for each type of Italcamel room and for different occupancy variations.


    3.2. Rate Plans Mapping (on the right)

    The mapping of rate plans focuses instead on the alignment of general prices.

    Each OTA rate must be associated with two fundamental elements of the Channel Manager:

    • The WuBook price plan, which will provide the numerical values of the rates.
    • The WuBook restriction plan, which will provide the general sales rules and global closures.


    4. Preferences

    Finally, the Preferences section allows you to configure the channel's operational and management software behavior:

    4.1. Always honour Wubook Restrictions closed dates

    When this option is ENABLED, any closure of a room set at the Channel Manager level will automatically be extended to all rates sold on Italcamel, effectively blocking the sale.

    If disabled, closures will depend exclusively on the specific restrictions set on individual price profiles.

    4.2. Automatically decrease prices to match Italcamel commission

    This function manages the calculation logic for the final price sent. When it is ACTIVE, the system can apply an automatic adjustment to the list price to take into account the commission applied by Italcamel. We recommend leaving this option active unless the prices managed on WooDoo have already been calculated to include and absorb the entire Italcamel commission.
