Overbooking is a situation when the total number of rooms reserved for a certain period of time exceeds the total number of rooms available for sale for the same period.
By overbooking on a room category, we mean a time frame in which the availability is less than 0. An overbooking is composed of a set of reservations that insist on the same room category, where the periods of stay overlap, and the number exceeds the availability. In a few words, the number of stays is higher than the number of physical rooms.
ZaK automatically detects overbooking and shows them at section:

Usually, overbooking is associated with the last reservation, which entered when there was no availability. In Zak, on the other hand, overbooking is not associated to a specific reservation, but to a time range and a set of reservations. In this way, you can find a solution by taking action on a reservation of your choice, not necessarily on the last reservation entered.

In the example above, SING has only one physical room, but there are two stays for November 6th. Overbooking can be solved by moving one reservation to a free room category.
