Zak F.A.Q. - How to make a quote?

If you're using Zak Booking Engine, from the section below you can send your potential guests an email with a link to your Online Reception. In this way you can make a quote, even with pre-selected dates and rooms. Guests will be able to complete their reservation on their own:

↳ Link: ZaK > Sales > Estimates

☞ Docs: Zak - Estimates

Even if you're not using the Online Reception, ZaK allows you to make a quote anyway. It can affect availability or not. You'll find all your estimates in the section dedicated to option/offer reservations:

↳ Link: ZaK > Reservations > Reception > Options and offers

A. Quote with affected availability: OPTIONS

First, you have to create in YouBook a new reservation with "option" status, also choosing an expiring date.
Once created, you can open it and send the customer the email for option reservation, from the "Messaging" box. This email will include the link to confirm the reservation.

☞ Docs: Reservation status

Your customer will receive an email with the quote details and a link to the Online Check-In Page. Exactly, to the "Guarantee your Reservation" section, where he'll be able to confirm his reservation through one of the guarantee methods you configured:

☞ Docs: ZaK - Guarantee Methods for Reservations

- If the guest guarantees BEFORE the expiry date, the reservation is automatically changed from Option to Confirmed status. You'll receive an email and find a warning in Dashboard-Deserving Attention.

- If instead the reservation has already expired, the guest can only guarantee it if there is availability in the Planner/Tabla. In this case, if he guarantees it, the reservation will automatically become confirmed and you will receive an email notification.
- If, on the other hand, there is no more availability after the expiry date, the guest can no longer guarantee the reservation.

If you want, you can set that expired options/offer should be deleted automatically, at the following section:

↳ Link: ZaK > Settings > Configuration > Generic Settings

B. Quote with unaffected availability: OFFERS

First, you have to create in YouBook a new reservation with "offer" status, also choosing an expiring date. The availability will NOT be affected. Once created, you can open it and send the customer the email for offer reservation, from the "Messaging" box. This email will include all the quote details and the guest, if interested, can contact you to confirm the reservation.

Contrary to the options, if the guest guarantees the reservation, it does NOT become automatically confirmed. It remains on offer. You will receive a notification and will have to manually change the status to Confirmed or Cancelled.

Again, you can set that expired options/offer should be deleted automatically, at the following section:

↳ Link: ZaK > Settings > Configuration > Generic Settings
