Before creating the physical rooms, you need to create the room categories (or types), such as "double", "business double", "suite"...

Each physical room must belong to a specific category.
☞ Docs: ZaK - Physical rooms
The number of physical rooms that belongs to a certain category defines its "availability".
Physical rooms that belong to the same category will have the same price, restrictions and sales conditions, (such as the "single-use")
☞ Docs: ZaK - Products
If a physical room cannot have the same sales conditions as another, those two rooms will have to belong to two different categories.
When creating a new Room Category, by checking the option "Automatic Room Setup" you can create the corresponding physical rooms and products immediately.
Zak will ask you how many physical rooms belong to the category you are creating (i.e. what is its "availability") and will automatically assign codes to them: if you don't like them, you can always modify them later. Then it will ask you for the possible occupancies with which you can sell that room type: each occupancy corresponds to a different price and therefore to a Product.
If you are already using WooDoo and you want to recreate the same room categories on Zak, you can import them automatically.
You can export to WooDoo the room categories of Zak: this is useful if you want to use one of the channels of the WooDoo channel manager which is not yet available in Zak.
