Zak - Online Reception: guest-side reservation process

To make a reservation, the guest will access your Online Reception, which you must have already set up by following all the steps in the relevant documentation:

Let’s take a look at all the steps a guest will follow to make a reservation!

1. Selecting dates and occupancy

First, the guest will see all the packages available (if you've created any), and then they can choose to book a package. Alternatively, they can enter the dates and occupancy to search for all available accommodations.

From the calendar on the right, you will need to select your check-in and check-out dates. As you make your selection, the calendar will display a preview of the rates per night. On the left, you will need to select the number of guests and, if applicable, the ages of any minors you wish to add:

If one or more dates are unavailable, they will appear grayed out and cannot be selected.

If there is no availability, enabling Flexible Dates will show the guest additional suggestions:

Plus, you can share your results with a friend or travel companion at any time! The “SHARE” button is always available in the top-right corner, so you can share the link via email or WhatsApp!

2. Choosing Accommodations

At this point, the guest will see all available accommodations, along with their respective rates and boards. If you offer more than one board, the guest can select the one that interests them most from the drop-down menu.

At this point, the guest will have added the room(s) to the cart and can continue. As soon as at least one room is selected, the cart appears on the right, providing a summary of the selected accommodations:

3. Choosing extras

If you've also set up some extras/experiences, the guest will see them in this step. They can view the details and choose which ones and how many to add to their cart. At the top, the guest can also filter by the type of extra they're looking for, such as transportation:

4. Entering personal information

Moving forward, the guest will be able to review all the details in the summary displayed on the reservation confirmation page.

Additionally, this voucher can be viewed at any time by clicking the Extra Costs and Terms & Conditions button in the cart.

Scrolling down, the customer will need to fill in all their personal information, select their check-in time, and accept the privacy policy:

5. Confirmation method

The guest will now need to choose how to confirm their reservation based on the guarantee methods you have set up. If you have set up more than one method, the guest will be able to choose. If, however, you have set up only one method (e.g., immediate payment), they must use that method.

6. Final confirmation and voucher

Finally, once the reservation is complete, the guest will see a confirmation page where they can:

  • open the voucher for their reservation
  • open the page dedicated to their reservation, which includes a summary of all the details and various available actions (e.g., online check-in)
  • check the location of your property on Google Maps
  • view the details of your property (name, address, contact information, etc.)
